MEET THE STAFF
Parkview Baptist Church takes it to heart when the Bible says to love one another. Our entire staff wants everyone to know the love of God in a real, life-changing fashion that creates such joy and peace for all. We are an imperfect people, wanting to make Jesus the focus of our lives. We provide this type of environment by following Jesus for ourselves so that people may find themselves not following us, but Jesus. By providing a ministry of love, our prayer is to let every person know they are important to God and there is someone who cares. With all of us working together, we can make a difference!
‘For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another...'
1 John 3:11
ELDERS
At Parkview Baptist Church, our Elders are called to shepherd God’s people with wisdom, integrity, and Christlike care. They lead by example, guarding the church's spiritual health while pointing everyone to Jesus. We take seriously the biblical charge to love and serve one another, striving to create an authentic community where imperfect people encounter the transforming love of God.
Elders are entrusted with the serious responsibility of overseeing the flock, as Scripture instructs: “The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. “
(1 Peter 5:1-3)
DEACONS
At Parkview Baptist Church, our Deacons serve with compassion and diligence, meeting practical needs so the ministry of the Gospel can flourish. They embody the heart of servant leadership, showing the love of Christ in tangible ways and supporting the overall mission of making Jesus real in people’s lives.
The New Testament establishes this vital role clearly:
“Likewise, must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for of filthy lucre….. For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.”
(1 Timothy 3:8, 13)
By caring for the congregation's physical and emotional needs, our Deacons free the church to focus on spiritual growth and outreach. Together with the Elders and the entire church family, they help create a loving environment where imperfect people can experience joy, peace, and the life-changing power of God’s love—one life at a time.
